When I was a child, my parents had an amazing, hand crafted kaleidoscope. The wheel was like a stain glass window of color and the images it created never ceased to delight me.
One Block Wonder first caught my attention a decade ago at the Sisters Quilt Show and I had that same childlike enthusiasm. I have been playing with fabrics and their potential with this method ever since.
While this technique does require attention to detail, it is very simple in its essence and the results are stunning every time.
Join me for this 2 day class and create a wonder of your own! On our first day together, we will cover all the basics of OBW, from preparing and cutting fabric to sewing half hexies. Two weeks later, we will gather again for further discussion on layout and the addition of cubes, which we will practice making in class.
I look forward to being inspired by your kaleidoscope creations!
