Winter is here and the New Year is upon us. We would like to take a moment to say thank you
for your friendship and business in 2011. We hope that the year was kind to you, and that you
have a very prosperous and happy 2012!!
We have just finished our Festival of Classes, and we are ready for your sign-ups! It will be a very fun year here in July - we have a few returning teachers that have been your favorites, like Linda Ballard, the queen of mysteries!! Also, a few locals that you all love, Donna Cherry, Norma Wells & Evelyn McKim. There are also a couple of new ones! We've invited Stephanie Brandenburg, she is an artist that painted all of those beautiful panels of flowers that we have had for some time - and many new ones to come! She will teach us more about the art of creating beautiful fabrics during her trunk show, and will teach a tote bag class too!
We also invited Elisa of Elisa's Backporch Designs. She has been a pattern designer for years, and has some wonderful designs to share with us in her trunk show! Join us for an evening of creative juices!! She is also an expert in curved piecing, so sign up for one of her classes to become an expert yourself!
We have some great regular classes scheduled for the winter, and we hope you'll join us! Our Sew & Tell is especially fun on the 2nd & 3rd Friday nights from 5-10 pm, because you get to eat with your quilting friends, and work on your own project, which feels great to get something done! There's also help available if needed, so it's a great time to bring that challenging project & pick our brains! Don't forget you always save 15% on anything you buy during class, supplies for your class, etc.
We are also ready for your 2012 First Saturday Block of the Month sign-ups! We've planned our quilt that you know what you're working on - it is from Antler Quilts, called Simply Adventurous - a smaller project this year, but will be great in the Christmas colors we are choosing. If that colorway doesn't excite you, then go with our Jewel tones on a black, or light background - that part of the quilt is your choice & makes it yours! We will also still have our Mystery Block of the Month for First Saturday, but that design I, of course, can't share with you! What I can tell you is that it is also a lap size quilt, so again, smaller projects that we can all FINISH!!
