W15 Memories
Party & Hors d’oeuvres
with Helene Knott
6-9pm It’s party time!
Bring
your show and tell “Memories” from previous years of Festival workshops.
We encourage you to bring completed and uncompleted past
Festival projects; we all want to enjoy your creative efforts. In
addition, bring twelve 6” charm squares of your choice.
Helene Knott will be presenting “Charm Square Round Robin” and
“Block Name Puzzlements” for your enjoyment. Of course, there will
be prizes. Another fun and laughter-filled evening. It’s Party Time!! R15
“Mystery
of the Night” Mystery class with Linda Ballard
6-9:30pm Are you ready for a fun night of piecing? What will it be? Can I finish it
tonight? Of course the answers will be revealed only as you work this
evening. It’s a great quilt with easy piecing and good techniques. The
quilt works in all kinds of fabric selections: theme fabrics, designer
groups, etc. You’ll be looking for a light, medium and a dark fabric.

Buffet
Dinner
and Lecture with Sue
Bouchard from Quilt In A Day
6-9:30pm “Journey along the Underground Railroad”
Combine Civil War history and quilts from another era. Learn how
twelve simple quilt blocks may have played a significant role of
communication between American slaves in their quest for freedom. Gather
your “monkey wrench”, hop onto the “wagon wheel” and follow the
“bears’ paw” trail through the mountains to gather safely at the
“crossroads”. Bring your family and friends for a relaxing evening
of food and fellowship, surrounded by the beauty of quilts and fiber
arts from all the faculty members. This is an adventure you’ll not
want to miss. Click on the picture to see more detail |
