Join us to make this fun wall hanging and learn beginning Raw-Edge Machine Appliqué (using 1-sided Fusible). Completing this piece will not take long, and it is a wonderful decorator piece for Halloween. You need NO prior experience in machine appliqué; however, if you’d like a short refresher course, this is also the right class for you. Pattern purchase required
Take your solid fabrics to new heights with bleach discharge. Applying bleach-based products to colored fabrics can create some very interesting results. We will experiment with liquid chlorine bleach, bleach pens, and bleached-based cleaning products, provided by the instructor. Class will be conducted outdoors, weather permitting. WEAR GRUBBIES!

Use the “lumberyard” approach to cut, organize, and store scraps in usable sizes and you are always ready to sew gorgeous scrappy quilts. You won’t want to miss this one, especially the “trunk show.”

Learn how to quilt from beginning to end. During this series of classes, learn terminology, techniques, and all the basics while completing a table runner. Pattern purchase required.

Do you want to add a little sparkle to your quilting? What do you put on the quilt to achieve your desired result? When and how do you add baubles to your piece? This class will explore different items to jazz up your quilting including beads, crystals, shisha mirrors, sequins, and found objects. You will be shown how to attach beads before and after quilting and also how to put a beaded fringe on the edge of a finished quilt. A practice kit of beading materials will be available for purchase from the instructor for $5.00 at class time.

Learn to make this cutie using pastels, reds, pinks, brights, 30s fabrics, blue and white, or thimbleberries, almost any combination of fabrics you can think of. It would certainly look great on a dark background. You will be paper- piecing 75% of it. You need NOT have prior experience in paper-piecing, and I’ll bring the paper piecing patterns for you. A QUILTER’S LUMBERYARD ~Construction Zone 101 – The Basics~
Wednesday, October 20 10am~2:30pm OR Saturday, October 23 10am~2:30pm Pre-Requisite: A Quilter's Lumberyard Presentation
In this class you will discuss cutting and organizing your fabric scraps into “lumber”, design your own quilt “blueprint”, calculate fabric needs, learn to package your cut fabric in project bags, and construct basic 8-inch “lumberyard” blocks. Pattern purchase required.
Pamper yourself or a friend by making a great spa bag for hot or cold relief therapy. In this class Susie will help you will make a shoulder stress suppressor and an eye/sinus bag. Everything you need to complete both projects is included and you will be able to pick out your own choice of fabrics to use.
HALLOWEEN MYSTERY
Join us for squirmy fun on Halloween. Enjoy a “Worms & Jelly Rolls” Mystery from Debbie Caffrey. What a great way to utilize jelly rolls by creating this lap size quilt. This is great for beginners as well as experienced quilters. Boo!!

Have lots of UFO’s?? Can’t find time to get them done? Come join us on Thursdays all day or for part of the day for a “no host” day of sewing. Bring your own project, and make new quilts, friends and fun!

Important Class Info Pre-registration and payment is required prior to each class. Phone registration requires a credit card. No space will be held without full payment. Receive a 15% discount towards supplies and materials. If you cancel a class, please do so at least three days prior to the class. You'll receive a gift certificate for class fees. No refunds will be given for less than 72 hour notification of cancellation.
For any class WE cancel, you may receive a refund or a gift certificate in amount to class fees. All classes will be held with 3 or more students. If a class lasts an entire day, we have allotted a 30-45 minute lunch; bring your own, order in, or go out. Potluck lunches have been well received! We have a fridge and microwave.
Please bring all supplies as required on the supply list. We will have Janome machines available to use during class, if you need one, just let us know ahead of time.
Please park on the south end of the building to unload & remain there or move to the west side of the lot please.
