Get your quilted Veggie Fun Garden finished long before you can plant your living garden in Bend.  Learn how to paper-piece her, toss in a few 9-patches and borders, and finish this cutie quickly.  Pattern purchase required..

Cut loose and join us for this wonderful “animalistic” paper-pieced pineapple wall hanging.  The pieces are small, but when you paper-piece, you don’t care!!!  First time, as well as experienced paper-piecers, will love creating this little wonder.  If the wild animal theme isn’t your thing, it looks great in black and whites, bright colors with black and white, light to medium to dark batiks, pastels, whatever.

Embellished Mosaic Koi

Come learn new and innovative techniques to add glitz and dimension to your quilts.  Donna Cherry will guide you through easy steps for applying beads, tulle and organza overlays, Angelina fibers and... the unexpected. So tune up your machines and let your creativity out of the box, this class is one not to be missed.
 

 

 

Button Back Table Runner   

5-9pm          $30.00

This large reversible table runner is the perfect introduction to the patented “quilt first – then assemble” techniques of Cotton Theory.   Not only do most students leave with a completed project, you will find that you learn all of the basic techniques necessary to complete any Cotton Theory  pattern.  Your precut kit includes all of the fabric and batting necessary for the project, allowing you to spend your class time behind your sewing machine.

MONDAY JULY 7th

Two Image Tote Bag   9-4pm   $60.00

Spend a day becoming comfortable with “Cotton Theory” when you  “quilt first --  then assemble”  this beautiful reversible tote bag.  Using a precut kit, you will find that nearly all of your class time is spent behind your sewing machine, and many students will leave with a completed bag.  While this tote is a perfect project to showcase machine embroidery, we will not embroider, but will use a lovely focal fabric instead.

Tulip Tango Placemats

When you create a placemat from Betty Cotton’s newest book, you’ll always have flowers on your table!   This reversible placemat features the dimensional seams of “Cotton Theory”, and you will learn to “quilt first—then assemble” as you sew.   A unique napkin holder is part of the design of the placemat, and instruction for making the napkin will be included as well.  Because a pre-cut kit is provided, you can expect to relax and spend your class time sewing .

WED JULY 9th

Does this quilt not just speak to you? I love it and so will you! It's all about the color and the tools that make it so easy to piece. Depending on the fabrics, you'll find that the sashing and cornersquare will give you an alternate pattern which I brought into the corners of the border. The quilt is definitely a winner ... you're going to love it as well.

I've learned a new method for making this skyrocket block that is incredibly simple and accurate and I'm very excited to share it with you.  It's also exciting to see the variations you can do using the technique. 
This quilt consists of nine Skyrocket blocks, each done with a single background fabric.  Please join me in making a simply stunning quilt!

A condensed version of the extended Color Theory class, this mini-workshop will cover some of the more important aspects of using color effectively in your quilts. The workshop will cover: the basic color wheel and how to use it, traditional and innovative color schemes, understanding value and its importance to a design and proportional color. There will be a few hands-on cut and paste exercises.
